The Straight Forecast shows that the majority of fans and pundits are predicting Italy in first place followed by Uruguay in second with odds set at 4.50. Switching both those teams’ positions has odds set at 4.80. Only then are England considered, as an Italy first England second outcome is predicted with odds set at 5.00. Even then, the following odd set at 5.50 represents Uruguay in first place and England in second, showing that although this is a three horse race, the English aren’t really being bet on positively.

In betting, numbers do paint the prediction of the majority, with a few interesting suggestions being brought up thanks to the current odds in place.
