A previous World Cup winner in 2002, Luiz Felipe Scolari will once again take the reigns in an attempt to guide his nation to glory, this time on home turf. A highly experienced tactician who has managed the likes of Portugal, Chelsea, Cruzeiro and Palmeiras has instilled a style and mentality into the squad which has been massively enjoyed by the fans, some stating that this is the most exciting national squad in recent times. Having already conquered the Confederations Cup in 2013, Scolari will hope to guide one of the favourites to ultimate success.

In Cesare Prandelli, Italy have a manager who has helped change the age old mentality that Italy are boring. If anything, under Prandelli, Italy have been implemented with an attacking style of play which surprised thousands during Euro 2012 when they reached the final of the tournament. They may have suffered a humbling defeat by Spain, however they have bounced back impressively by finishing 3rd behind Brazil and Spain during the 2013 Confederations.

Russia’s Fabio Capello is another trademark name within football management, having coached the likes of Real Madrid, AC Milan, Juventus and England. His strict discipline and no nonsense style of management has brought in several success in the form of trophies, except during his time with England. In fact the Three Lions, guided by Roy Hodgson, will hope to emphasize on the important factors included in participating at such a gigantic occasion, rather than complain about the lack of fun during the players’ free time, which is exactly what happened in 2010.

Alejandro Sabella, an experienced tactician himself, will be making sure that his star studded attack will impress, with the added advantage that Argentina will be participating in a climate similar to their own. Other famous names include Holland’s Van Gaal, France’s Deschamps and Japan’s Zaccheroni, who will all be taking the same shot at managerial success.
