One of the most experienced managers in the game, Russia boss Fabio Capello, believes that the host nation are the side with the highest chance of raising the trophy when the final arrives in July.

The five-time champions were already tagged as favourites due to their star studded squad as well as the fact that they will be playing on home turf. Whilst he believes that Germany, Spain and Argentina will also be amongst the main favourites, he firmly stated that the biggest probable winners of the tournament will be the Selecao.

“It will be a World Cup where the big favourites will be Brazil, but they have to watch out for Argentina to see if Messi will be once more the great player we all know.’’ said Capello.

The Russia boss also stated that Spain are now an even tougher squad with the arrival of Brazilian born striker Diego Costa, who is currently enjoying a scintillating season with his club Atletico Madrid.

Capello has coached and managed numerous top clubs throughout his career whilst winning several leagues and tournaments. He will also be hoping that his Russia squad will qualify from their group and proceed to impress further during the knockouts.

Considering the experience and tactical awareness which this individual has, it would be a bad move to ignore his claim that the home nation is in fact the biggest favourite for this coming World Cup.
